Part Time Parish Administrator
A vacancy has arisen for a Parish Administrator to work for 25 hours per week to provide assistance to the Parish Priest, Financial Administration, Parish Administration, facilitation of the parish mission and activity, working in conjunction with others who contribute as volunteers and other Parish Support.
Hours of work:
Part time post: 25 hours per week. Days and times to be agreed.
Salary: up to £13 per hour.
Experience and Qualifications required for role:
- An experienced administrator with excellent secretarial, interpersonal, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Computer literate, skilled in word-processing and data management as well as excellent internet and all-round office skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to promote effective interaction between clergy, area administrators and parishioners as well as managing the day-to-day management of the Parish Hall.
- Good Basic Finance knowledge (training on systems to be given).
- Knowledge of parish and diocesan organisation structure (desirable).
- Understanding of Data Protection legislation.
Personal Attributes:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision: taking initiative and using judgement; able to work under pressure, cope with change and deal with conflicting demands and differing personalities.
- Diplomatic, discreet with a sympathetic nature able to maintain high degree of confidentiality and trust.
- Sympathetic to the Ministry and Mission of the Catholic Church.
